Elsevier and the Board of Executive Editors of the Tetrahedron journal series are pleased to announce that the 2020 Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry has been awarded to:

Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA
The awardee has made many important advances in the areas of heterocyclic chemistry and organic synthesis, especially with respect to the synthesis of natural products. In many cases he has undertaken an insightful study of the mechanisms by which key natural products exert their biological activity, which has led to unique insight into their mode of action.

The Tetrahedron Prize winner will be honored during a dedicated symposium at the 2021 Fall National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, in Atlanta, USA (August 22-26, 2021).

For Organic Synthesis For Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry

Professor Dong and Professor Devaraj will each give a plenary lecture at the 21st Tetrahedron Symposium in Gothenburg, Sweden, where they will formally be presented with their award. Each recipient will also receive a certificate and be awarded USD 3,000.

Editors’ Choice Award - There’s still time to submit!

Submit your manuscript to the Tetrahedron family now and you could be considered for the Editors’ Choice Collection and Award. Selections will be made in two categories: organic chemistry and bioorganic/medicinal chemistry. The corresponding authors of these two best papers will receive an unrestricted research award of USD 10,000, to be used for research or conference expenses.
