Congratulations, Professor Dale Boger!
Elsevier and the Board of Executive Editors of the Tetrahedron journal series are pleased to announce that the 2020 Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry has been awarded to:
Professor Dale Boger
Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA |
The awardee has made many important advances in the areas of heterocyclic chemistry and organic synthesis, especially with respect to the synthesis of natural products. In many cases he has undertaken an insightful study of the mechanisms by which key natural products exert their biological activity, which has led to unique insight into their mode of action. |
The Tetrahedron Prize winner will be honored during a dedicated symposium at the 2021 Fall National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, in Atlanta, USA (August 22-26, 2021).
|
Tetrahedron Young Investigator Awards We are also delighted to announce the winners of the 2021 Tetrahedron Young Investigator Awards.
For Organic Synthesis |
For Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry |
|
|
Guangbin Dong
University of Chicago, USA |
Professor Neal Devaraj
University of California San Diego, USA |
Professor Dong and Professor Devaraj will each give a plenary lecture at the 21st Tetrahedron Symposium in Gothenburg, Sweden, where they will formally be presented with their award. Each recipient will also receive a certificate and be awarded USD 3,000.
